About the Summer Enrichment Program
All parents at the House can take advantage of this unique opportunity to enroll their child in a dynamic, immersive learning experience focused on the rich history of Congress and the nation’s capital. Coordinated and run by the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, children of Members and House staff, ages 6 to 13 years old, can also see where their parents work in this program.
The Program provides positive learning interactions and age-appropriate opportunities for self-discovery, socialization, team building, and exploration of history, science, law, geography, and the arts. Some of these activities include tours of the U.S. Capitol and Library of Congress, visits to the Smithsonian, a demonstration by the U.S. Capitol Police, and more.
